The Grooming Process
Upon Arrival
When you and your pooch arrive we will greet you both at reception and say hello and introduce ourselves, we welcome all of our customers with a good head scratch and hello, here we will make friends and get to know each other groomer to dog.
We will ask you a few questions about your dog and if there's anything to inform us about, this is the time to tell us.
If there are any medical issues with your pooch we will try our hardest to accommodate to whatever needs your dog has, as this is our most important role towards grooming your dog.
we ask that our customers pay when dropping off their dog so that it will be easier for us when dogs switch over as we are 1-2-1 groomer during the week and this minimalises any nervous dogs interactions on the way in/out which keeps them calm and leaving with a chilled enjoyable experience.
Please Note: Dogs in season CANNOT be groomed, as this can be extremely stressful for them. Any questions please dont hesitate to ask.
We will call or text you once your pooch is ready.
Bathing
After arriving when we take your dog in, we will pop them in the bath, wash all the dirt off your dog, we use all the best quality products for bathing your dog and can accommodate to your dogs needs such as if they have a skin allergy then we have sensitive shampoo, if they have a few tangles we use a detangle shampoo etc, all these shampoos smell amazing so they will be back to you smelling ever so fresh!
Whilst your pooch is having their facial massage and the back rubs of their lives, we also do the gross stuff.....anal glands if your dog needs their anal glands expressing this is something we can do, we do it in a friendly manner, if your dog is not comfortable with this then we are encouraged to stop and accept this.
If your dog has fleas, this is when we can tell, we do use a De-Flea shampoo which kills off any fleas that they could possibly have but this DOES NOT substitute as a flea treatment.
Drying
After the bathing process, we use a dryer, this will help us see right down to the skin so it will alert us if we come across anything unusual (If so we will contact you immediately), we take care in drying our dogs and will adjust our drying techniques to suit your dog.
When we dry your double-coated dog we also give a 'blow-out' service this means all the dead undercoat hair is blown out with the dryer, leaving a smooth feeling coat when dry.
Grooming
After bathing we move onto grooming, this is where we will style your dog to your requested desire, we can style your dog to either a breed standard groom, a cute teddy bear cut, or an easy maintained cut, this all depends on your dogs breed, how long their coat is and what condition it is in.
De-shedding
After your pooch is dry we then use a shedding tool to help remove the remaining undercoat, we also use a metal comb to get to the awkward areas we may not be able to reach with the shedding tool, this leaves a smooth finish and allows your double-coated dog to be able to cool themselves down on their own allowing the air to regulate through the coat.
Finishing Touches
Once your dog is fully groomed, we do their nails, ears and spray an amazing doggy cologne to make sure they are smelling 100% fresh, along with a great bandana
We double check everything to make sure your dogs groom is up to your standard.
Your Pooch is ready!
While we wait for you to come and pick up your lovely smelling pooch we may be playing tug of war or even having cuddles.
NOTE:We ask that you do not turn up before a text or phone call as this can interrupt your dogs groom and will take longer after getting your dog settled again because your dog is excited to see you, If your appointment takes a little longer than expected, It just means we got distracted giving your dog bundles of cuddles.
You can pay cash or card on the day.
